Grass Roots
One on One Marketing was started from scratch from $2,000 in 2002. When the founders leased their first office space, the landlord told them he would be surprised if they lasted more than 6 months. The founders took this as a challenge. They were determined to work from their gut and not from textbooks.
Looking For A Good Challenge
The founders made innovation a constant theme in their fledgling enterprise. Rather than avoiding challenges, they embraced them, knowing it was the only way they could grow their company into something great. Innovating also meant mixing things up and preventing stagnation. If they felt they were getting used to “the norm,” it was time to shake things up.
The founders sought to establish a clear vision and expectations that would stretch them to their limit. Close attention to detail and constant improvement became a hallmark of their company.
