What We Need From You:

-    Object Oriented Programming, solid understanding of principles with experience in Ruby.

-    Additional knowledge of Java, .Net, C++, would be useful.

-    Model View Controller (MVC) web frameworks (Rails, Struts, Spring, etc.).

-    Object Relational Mapping in ActiveRecord (Hibernate, DataMapper, etc. also helpful).

-    Ability to design and implement scalable and maintainable software.

-    Familiarity with object/data caching frameworks

-    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-    Working knowledge of Linux

 

 

Bonus Skills Sets:

-       PASSION for Open Source.

-       Good to great SQL schema and data modeling

-       UNIX (apache, nginx, mod_rails, DNS, cron, etc.XML and Web Services/REST

-       Rails, Capistrano, Git, Linux, HTML / DHTML / CSS / Javascript, Ajax, AWS, RESTful APIs, async processing / messages queues), Apache, SQL, db optimization.

World Cup Enthusiast Requirements:

-       Know the difference between Renoldo, Renaldinho & Renaldi.

-       Talk smack in the company break room

-       Win with honor, Lose with pride.

-       Know the Ole chant.  Here is a hint, it goes like this (Ole! Ole! Ole! Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole!)

-       Pick a team and cheer for them with all might!
