Mid to Senior Level Ruby Developer

One on One Marketing is looking for a highly motivated, hard working, team player to become a member of the One on One Marketing IT Team. 

Primary functions will be developing and maintaining company’s internal and external data management applications and components participating in all phases of the software development cycle.

What We Need From You:

• Object Oriented Programming, solid understanding of principles with experience in Ruby.
• Additional knowledge of Java, .Net, C++, would be useful.
• Model View Controller (MVC) web frameworks (Rails, Struts, Spring, etc.).
• Object Relational Mapping in ActiveRecord (Hibernate, DataMapper, etc. also helpful).
• Ability to design and implement scalable and maintainable software.
• Familiarity with object/data caching frameworks
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Linux

 

Bonus Skills Sets:

• PASSION for Open Source.
• Good to great SQL schema and data modeling
• UNIX (apache, nginx, mod_rails, DNS, cron, etc.XML and Web Services/REST
• Rails, Capistrano, Git, Linux, HTML/DHTML/CSS/Javascript, Ajax, AWS, RESTful APIs, async processing/messages queues), Apache, SQL, db optimization.

 

We’re looking for programmers as we’re converting over to Ruby and our growth is off the charts.  This year’s revenue tripled last year’s and next year’s projection is to triple again.  This is a young (7 ½ years), vibrant, energy rich company.  We don’t hire everyone, “fit” is very important to us, consequently are turnover is practically “zero”.  If you want a place that you’ll love coming to work at, we’d like to talk to you.
